MINISTRY - The Jesus' Way!

I have been reading interesting passages from the bible on the ministry of Jesus. Consider the following scriptures: "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them." Matthew 4:23-24 "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness." Matthew 9:35 3 three characterized the ministry of our Lord Jesus from the scriptures above: 1. He taught the Word of God, with authority, 2. He preached the Word of God, with much grace, and, 3. Ministered to the hurting in the power of the Spirit - healing, miracles, casting out demons etc. Today, so many people are teaching, preaching and ministering to others. I only struggle with what happened to AUTHORITY, GRACE & POWER. These three things seem to be missing in the church today. When you read Luke 4:22,32 &36, you will notice that 3 times the people were AMAZED by Jesus. Why? He demonstrated AUTHORITY in His teaching, GRACE in His preaching & the POWER of the Holy Spirit as he brought healing, deliverance and miracles to people. This is the kind of ministry I desire. People do not care much these days whether the Gospel is right or wrong...most people (especially church goers!)are concerned about whether the gospel works or not! Well, I got news for you today: The Gospel is True (Right) and it Works! - It it the power of God that brings salvation. We can only minister like Jesus when the Holy Spirit is upon us (Luke 4:18)because He (The Holy Spirit)anoints us to do the supernatural. And what happened to Baptism in the Holy Spirit? I pray that in every church in Kenya and globally, we can begin to see more authority, grace & power from our pulpits.
